The great thing about having over a year to plan is that I can take the time to explore options and hopefully we can create a lot of the elements of our wedding ourselves. My goal is to create a wedding ceremony that reflects who we both are. Our celebration will be as good as we make it, and the same goes for our entire marriage. We're not putting stock in a government-issued license, because it's apparent how easily they can be repeatedly handed out to and then discarded by some and be so quickly denied to others; we're putting all our stock in each other. There's no room for empty tradition in our wedding. I want everything to be meaningful and fun on a day we get to share how much we love each other with those we love most. Really, we're formally celebrating the commitment we've already made in thoughtful and light-hearted way. We both truly appreciate the friends and family who've helped us grow up to be who we are and who have supported our relationship over the years. I will be very excited to see a room full of people showing their confidence in us and sharing in our happy time when we ceremoniously commit to each other for all times.
